What you will be doing:
The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF), Division of Facilities Services is seeking a professional Engineer/Architect 1/2 to join our team.
This position directly manages concurrent public works construction projects from pre-bid through final records review. Projects are administered through individual on-site Project Engineers, consultants and their subordinate staff. These projects range in size from a half-million dollars to 25 million dollars, and are varied by scope and complexity, have many technical and nontechnical activities to be coordinated, a limited budget to be maintained, and require a certain amount of public involvement.

Our organization, mission, and culture:
Alaska's highways and airports are important resources that must meet Alaska's transportation needs and are critical to the health and safety of the public. They serve as commercial corridors and hubs bringing goods and services to our communities and as essential links connecting communities together. As such, the DOT&PF mission is to "Keep Alaska Moving through service and infrastructure!" and your role in this position is directly tied to one of the most critical aspects of the mission.

The State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities’ mission is to Keep Alaska Moving.  We are working toward a modern, adaptable, flexible transportation system that will be resilient as we tackle our challenges. We believe collaboration, communication, and coordination increase our ability to succeed. Creating teams that are focused on results, working together, and leveraging resources across our department, with community and private sector partnerships, increases our ability to accomplish our mission and serve Alaskans.

The benefits of joining our team:
Joining the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities (DOT&PF) offers an array of benefits, with career growth opportunities at the forefront. A successful candidate will have sound judgment, decision-making, and a strong ethical and professional conduct history.

The working environment you can expect:
