The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northern Region Highways & Aviation is looking for an Equipment Operator Sub-Journey 1 to help us

What you will be doing

Equipment Operator Sub Journey 1

  • Operate light-duty ground motorized equipment and State-owned pickup trucks for various maintenance functions.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs at multiple wayside/rest stop facilities in the Tok District.
  • Conduct regular garbage removal and retrieval of loose waste within designated areas.
  • Restock supplies for portable toilets and perform cleaning and minor repairs as needed.
  • Engage in various manual labor tasks, including cleaning culverts, cutting vegetation, picking up litter, patching potholes, and loading and unloading equipment and supplies from trucks.
  • Loading and unloading equipment and supplies from trucks.
  • Assist in the installation, repair, and/or replacement of permanent traffic signs.
  • Carry out traffic control duties, including flagging for safety.
  • Ensure public safety and maintain a clean and welcoming environment for the community.

Minimum Qualifications
