What You Will Be Doing:
Business Analyst 1 - As a knowledgeable professional in State business processes and the enterprise accounting, payroll, and reporting systems provided by the division, for both internal and external users, the position develops and revises user manuals and training materials for agency staff and assists with software configuration, ongoing maintenance and upgrades, patch testing, and module implementation with IT staff and system vendors/contractors.
Business Analyst 2 - As a subject matter expert in State business processes and the enterprise accounting, payroll, and reporting systems provided by the division for both internal and external users, the position provides solutions, guidance, and training for agency staff, and conducts software configuration; ongoing maintenance and upgrades; patch testing and module implementation, with IT staff and system vendors/contractors. Position may focus on a system module and business process or conduct business analysis and support of various software solutions and issues ad hoc.Our Mission, Values, and Culture:

Minimum Qualifications
Two years of professional experience in an administrative field such as procurement, accounting, human resources, computer and information systems, and so on.
Or, for positions in the specialized field of accounting, four years of advanced technical and /or supervisory accounting experience. This is met by experience as an Accounting Technician 3, Accounting Technician 4, Accounting Supervisor 1 (obsolete), or Accounting Supervisor 2 (obsolete) with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere.
Substitution:
Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration, business management, marketing, economics, statistics, computer and information science, logistics, or information systems management, or similar coursework will substitute for up to one year of the required experience (2.67 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month).
