Who We Are Looking For:
To be successful in this position, the selected applicant will possess the following core competencies:
- Plumbing and Pipefitting: Knowledge of materials, methods, and the appropriate tools to install, maintain, or repair pipelines, pipe systems, and fixtures, including water, air, steam, gas, chemicals, or sewage.
- Problem Solving:(***) Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; generates and evaluates alternative solutions; makes recommendations.
- Mechanical:(*) Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance.
- Requires occasional travel, including travel by commercial and small aircraft to rural communities.
- Preferred, but not required, ability to obtain Criminal Justice Information System security clearance after hire.

Additional Required Information

- State of Alaska Certificate of Plumbing Fitness Card (minimum of 8000 hours or 4-year apprenticeship in the Plumbing Trade)
- A current copy of your driver’s license.
- Municipality of Anchorage Plumbing License.
