What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform mid-to advanced level natural resource management work in the administration, management, analysis, and implementation of the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Instream Flow (Reservation of Water) Program.
- Additionally, this position will adjudicate surface and subsurface water right applications for sources near or within Alaska Native lands or on land that belongs to an Alaska Native Regional Corporation or Village Corporation.
- Every adjudication of a reservation involves addressing a range of diverse industries, each with a different potential impact.
- Among the duties associated with the Reservation of Water Program, this position will also review and analyze either known or potential impacts to any reservation of water by nearby developments.
- This position will consequently work to identify areas where mitigation is possible and coordinate with the applicable state, local, or federal agencies to effectively alleviate any potential impacts.
