The Alaska Psychiatric Institute (API) is recruiting for a

Project Assistant

What You Will Be Doing:

The Project Assistant position is responsible for coordinating and implementation of ongoing program activities as they relate to hospital communications, program monitoring, policy, planning, Legislative Liaison, and Governing Body support. Active role in division-wide mission driven strategic planning process to ensure updates are occurring with each committee meeting. Monitoring milestone progress for each strategic goal throughout the year. Will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of an intranet site using SharePoint. 

Works closely with hospital leadership and cross-functional teams to design, build, and maintain an intuitive and user-friendly platform that facilitates information sharing, collaboration, and access to resources across API. The incumbent will be scheduling and attending the Governing Body meetings and sub-committee meetings; runs the electronics/computer presentations, prepare agendas, and gather documents to be covered during meetings. Works with the Commissioner's office to post public notice of Governing Body meetings and archives meeting minutes/packets.

This position is located at 3700 Piper Street in the U-MED district of east Anchorage which offers several maintained walking trails, parks and nearby lakes.  This area is filled with several restaurants, shopping stores, and has easy access to public transportation.

  • List of three (3) professional references, including daytime phone numbers, one (1) of which are from a current or former supervisor.
  • Copies of your two (2) most recent performance evaluations, or two (2) letters of professional reference, if available.

1. Submit to fingerprinting and background check screening.

2. Provide proof of Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap), Mumps, Measles, Rubella (MMR), and Varicella Immunizations.

3. Provide proof of Hepatitis B (immunity or declination statement)

4. Provide annual Influenza vaccination or a signed declination statement.

5. Proof of Tuberculosis screening within past 12 months.
