Under the general supervision of the Community Mental Health Services (CMHS) Program Administrator, this position is responsible for providing statewide program direction to the Prevention and Early Intervention (PEI) section of the Division of Behavioral Health, to include recommendations for funding and support of existing grants, contracts, and Reimbursable Service Agreements supporting these activities throughout communities in Alaska. The position will supervise staff within this section, specifically in the areas of suicide prevention and other behavioral health prevention and early interventions.
The incumbent is directly responsible for the coordination and direction of the recidivism reduction programs as well as other reentry-related projects. Responsibilities include providing programmatic technical assistance to grantees and statewide consultation. This position represents the division in departmental workgroups and advisory committees, playing a key role in the state`s strategic planning for suicide and behavioral health prevention and early intervention efforts along with reentry projects.Our Mission, Values, and Culture:
