If you have already applied there is no need to reapply.ATTENTION ALASKA RESIDENTS!The Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, is recruiting for aVocational Rehabilitation Counselor 1 / 2 / 3 located in Fairbanks!No Cover Letter Required!This position is in the General Government Unit (GGU) at a Range 15 / 17 / 19.What You Will Be Doing : As a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor 1 / 2 / 3 you will provide vocational rehabilitation counseling to a small caseload of consumers with disabilities to support them in obtaining and maintaining competitive, integrated employment. This position primarily serves as a member of the Divisions Business Engagement Services Team, actively providing community based assessments, job search and placement assistance and engaging in business / employer outreach to develop and maintain relationships that increase opportunities for consumers of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.Our Organization, Mission and Culture : The Division of Vocational Rehabilitation helps hundreds of Alaskans with disabilities prepare for, get and keep good jobs. As such, obtaining and / or maintaining a Certification in Rehabilitation Counseling (CRC) is required and supported by the Division.The Working Environment You Can Expect : This position is located in the Fairbanks Branch Office (FBO) with approximately ten to twelve employees at any given time. Consumers are served directly out of this office. You will have a significant amount of autonomy in scheduling your day and managing your workflow.
