Job Summary
Direct report to Superintendent. Review resident application forms and documentation to meet statutory and agency requirements for admission to the Home. This includes review of financial and other records of applicants to assure they meet statutory and Home requirements. Develops, reviews and inputs policies and procedures for the Home.
Review and ensure compliance with State laws, rules, and regulations regarding purchasing, contracts, and projects as assigned by the Superintendent. May assist with the cemetery. Will work directly with the Superintendent to meet statutory requirements and mission of the Home.

Job Summary

Job Duties
- Manages and fields inquiries for admission to the Home from Pioneer and Miner applicants. Answers questions, creates and provides applicants packets, provides tours and conducts interviews with prospective applicants. Ensures completion of all required documentation of applicants including, but not limited to, financial, medical, Residency Agreements, TB skin tests, safety evacuations, etc. Review and analyzes resident insurance coverage and assists in selection of medical and pharmacy coverage. Responsible for Payment for Care calculations annually
- Works with Superintendent to carry out mission as directed. This may include building projects, budgetary considerations, facilitating resident meetings, and attending meetings and training as directed. Staffing Resident Council
- Handle contracts and purchasing. Develop requisitions, obtain quotes, review beds, analyze cost effectiveness, utilize procurement to fulfill orders in addition to utilizing general services and outside vendors as appropriate, manages sale of cemetery plots, collect plot payments and maintain records related to cemetery sales
- Responsible for inputting, reviewing, and initiating policies and procedures to ensure policies are updated, current, and in compliance with Federal, State, and agency laws, rules, and regulations with particular attention to the applicable rules of the Arizona Department of Health Services while ensuring compliance with residents and staff
- Serve as the marketing coordinator for the Home by maintaining print and electronic resources for the Home. Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop marketing strategies to maintain resident census
- Other duties as assigned as related to the position
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
- Policy development, Medicare, budgets, building projects, cemetery procedures. Assisted living applicable laws and rules. Basic accounting principles including purchasing and contracts. Marketing and geriatrics and computer knowledge
- Customer service. Budgeting and accounting principles. Policy development. Excellent written and oral communication skills. All aspects of Microsoft Office and other computer programs such as Visio, social media, and editing software
- Ability to interact on a professional level with staff and residents. Work in and enhance a team oriented environment. Detail oriented and ability to self direct in order to address needs of the Home. Creative and compassionate, accurate and willing to learn and adjust processes as required.
Education, Licensure, Certification:
- Current Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance card and up to date TB screening
- Contracts or geriatrics
- Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.)
- Requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment
