Job Summary

The Compliance Asset Manager will oversee the compliance with the Contracted Healthcare Provider for the Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation and Reentry to ensure an effective fiscal management that includes budgeting, procurement and external contracting. While directing daily operations, the Compliance Asset Manager will support staff across multiple projects related to equipment and services, building maintenance, sustainability, fleet management, and facility services within the Healthcare Services Division.

Job Duties

  • Oversee, organize, and manage the sourcing and procurement activities for materials and supplies within the Healthcare Services Division (HSD)
  • Actively engage in special projects aimed at supporting the needs of the business and the objective of the Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR)
  • Collaborate with the Healthcare Services Division staff and leaders with project initiatives including workspace initiatives to establish and enforce compliance
  • Update the Arizona Financial Information System (AFIS), as well as create, handle and evaluate purchase orders, receipts, process invoices, ledgering and forecasting expenditures, and reports
  • Guides staff, contract vendors, and stakeholders on equipment inventory procedures
  • Interprets contract language to stakeholders at varying levels of the organization
  • Primary liaison for IT services
  • Demonstrates expertise in fixed assets, including inventory management, reporting and updates
  • Facilitate and streamline the requisition processes for equipment and supplies
  • Organize inventory and tags asset of contract vendors
  • Lead system-wide project initiatives and manage projects to completion
  • Maintain an accurate record of asset locations and the changes of locations
  • Formulate and implement administrative and financial control procedures to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the equipment and supply inventory process
  • Identify environmental improvements during site inspection for opportunities and deficiencies
  • Research and assess vendors to compare services and pricing
  • Manage the disposal of state property
  • Create action plans and propose any improvement strategies and solutions to the Healthcare Services Division executive leadership team
  • Complete projects in a timely manner according to the specified deadlines
  • Facilitate meeting as necessary
  • Organize records, licenses, inspections, warranties, and service agreements for equipment and tools in collaboration with the Contracted Healthcare Provider
  • Initiates, monitors, and maintains employee property receipts, as well as conducts audits on employee property assigned by the Arizona Department of Corrections Rehabilitation and Reentry
  • Drives on state business

Selective Preference(s)

Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in inventory and supply management in a correctional environment.

Five (5) years of property management experience in a correctional health setting.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).
