EMPLOYEE REFERRAL PROGRAM: This position is eligible for an employee referral incentive payment of $1,000 (conditions apply).
Position Summary
The Court Operations Unit of the Court Services Division provides limited and general jurisdiction courts services and assistance in the form of standardized operational procedures, court evaluations, court financial assistance, training, resources and providing solutions and guidance to operational questions.
Under the direction of the Court Operations Unit Manager, the Court Operational Review Specialist conducts reviews of court operations in Arizona courts and evaluates court operations in terms of compliance to law, court rules, administrative orders, and written policy. Upon analyzing and summarizing the collected data, the Court Operational Review Specialist prepares court operational review reports, detailing the findings and recommendations for improving court operations. Other duties include documenting courts’ actions that are addressed in the court operational review reports, including a final compliance response to the courts, providing training on court operational findings to the court community, and other duties as assigned.
This position may be eligible for a hybrid-telework schedule once the employee has completed three (3) months of employment and has sufficiently proved their ability to perform assigned tasks.
Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program qualified employer.
Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or Judicial Administration or a related field. A minimum three years’ experience in court operations, conducting court reviews or financial audits, or directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement. Additional requirements include: excellent analytical and report writing skills; excellent formal interviewing and interpersonal communication skills; knowledge of court policies, procedures, and operations; ability to analyze statistical data and derive conclusions from the analysis; and ability to understand and interpret legislation, rules, administrative orders, policies, and procedures.
Travel level: up to 25%.
Selection Process
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Only applicants whose backgrounds most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to interview.
