Job Summary
The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) General Services Division (GSD) is seeking a dedicated Security System Specialist to join our Physical Security Department. This role is vital to ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, and buildings managed by ADOA, including approximately 85 buildings statewide, with the majority located in downtown Phoenix at the Capitol complex.
The Security System Specialist will be responsible for the installation, service, and repair of electronic security devices, including access control systems, CCTV and IP cameras, alarm systems, emergency phone boxes, and panic alarms. Additionally, this role involves programming and maintaining the badging system database and Video Management System (VMS). Job Summary

Job Duties
- Troubleshooting, service and repair of various electronic access control, alarm system and cctv equipment
- Programming the Lenel database for new access levels, time changes and users
- Installation of new access control and cctv equipment, such as card readers, electric strikes, door contacts and head end equipment
- Programming the Lenel system for sub contractors and new doors and device adds
- Adding cameras to and programming the VMD
- Preventative maintenance work on field devices
- Pro-active repairs, adjustments and cleaning of various pieces of equipment
- Update new and complete work orders
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
- Installation, programming, troubleshooting and repair of Lenel access control systems
- Installation, programming, troubleshooting and repair of CCTV and IP cameras
- Installation, programming, troubleshooting and repair of alarm systems
- Installing, connecting and servicing various brands of electrified hardware
- Programming and maintaining the Lenel database for access levels, cardholders, time zones etc
- Programming and maintaining the VMS software
- Computing and google based platforms
- Using a computer to set IP addresses in Cameras, Switches, NVR's, Access Control network boards etc.
- Provide customer oriented service
- Be a Self-starter; motivated and friendly
- Good communication skills; written and verbal
- Start, follow through and completion of projects in a timely manner
- Maintain clean and neat work environment
- Experience as a Locksmith is very helpful
- Duplicating keys
- Rekeying and master keying locks
- Maintaining and updating masterkey systems
- Maintaining and updating key control systems
- Use of key code cutting machines
- Service, repair and installation of various lock types
- Troubleshooting and Repair of all items listed above
- Background and reference check, including a criminal records verification

Retirement
