The mission of the Department of Corrections is to be a public safety resource for Arkansas families by providing professional management solutions and evidence-based rehabilitative initiatives for offenders.
All DOC positions are designated as Safety Sensitive Positions and are subject to random drug testing pursuant to the Secretarial Directive governing Personnel Drug Testing. Medical marijuana usage, as defined in Amendment 93 of the Arkansas Constitution, prohibits Personnel in a Safety-Sensitive Position from the use of medical marijuana even if they are qualifying patient under the amendment and/or hold a registry identification card. Department Personnel are prohibited from the use or possession of a medicinal marijuana card pursuant to this policy and state law.

Summary
Assist the Quality Improvement and Program Evaluation (QIPE) team in research and evaluation efforts.
Functions
Maintain existing datasets. Collect, code, and clean qualitative and quantitative data. Find, read, and summarize empirical and theoretical research literature. Effectively communicate with team members and other stakeholders. Shift between working on multiple group and individual projects. Attend frequent meetings and provide updates on projects. Write reports as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.
Dimensions

Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Knowledge of research methods and qualitative/quantitative data.
Ability to analyze statistical data.
Demonstrates exceptional writing, organizational, and communication abilities.
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred evaluation and research experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in policy, research, or statistical analysis.
