Medical marijuana usage, as defined in Amendment 93 of the Arkansas Constitution, prohibits Personnel in a Safety-Sensitive Position from the use of medical marijuana even if they are qualifying patient under the amendment and/or hold a registry identification card. Department Personnel are prohibited from the use or possession of a medicinal marijuana card pursuant to this policy and state law.

Summary
The Commissary Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of an inmate commissary. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Functions
Oversees and trains a small staff of inmates in operating the prison commissary including cleaning, unloading supplies, and stocking shelves. Maintains inventory control records, orders supplies, checks invoices, prices merchandise, and dispenses commodities to prisoners and prison personnel. Records money order receipts and purchases to inmates' ledger cards and balances accounts daily. Maintains manual and/or computerized records of cash and card purchases. Balances cash drawer daily, makes bank deposits, and compiles daily transaction records. Provides inmates with merchandise availability lists. Inventories stock of commissary monthly. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to establish and maintain office files and records.
Minimum Qualifications
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus three years of experience in retail sales, inventory control, purchasing, or related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management.
