With the guidance and leadership of the BPI Administrator, the STCR will perform a variety of highly complex functions in the application of BPI methodologies. Responsibilities include reviewing each of the major critical processes of the Tax Branch by examining business operations and identifying and implementing opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness. The STCR will act as lead on review sprints and provide direction and support to the sprint team members, ensuring deadlines are met, and reporting progress and / or issues to the Tax Administrator Is. The STCR will provide assistance to external customers with implementations and transitions; training and / or presentation curriculum, modules, and materials that are used to train and educate internal and external customers. In addition, the STCR will provide support for the Tax Branch Strategic Planning process and provide support for the internal communication strategies of the Tax Branch.

This position requires knowledge and experience relating to employment tax, benefit accounting program issues / processes and will act as a skilled technical business analyst. The STCR must have experience exercising excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills, and handle sensitive and confidential assignments with tact and diplomacy. Must have the ability to work independently or as part of a team, demonstrate a high level of performance, and ensure goals and timeliness is met.

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee.

    Statement of Qualifications Requirements

  • This position involves working with numbers and accurately analyzing employment tax program or benefit tax program data. Tell us about a time when you made a mistake in your analysis.     Background Investigation Requirement
