Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Specialist II is responsible for overseeing the analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of DIR's Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Infrastructure to ensure secure, scalable, and optimal performance. The Incumbent will be responsible for leading Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions, Cloud Network Architecture Services, and Cloud Security Configurations. The Incumbent will present concepts and proposals to business stakeholders, executive leadership, various governance boards, and lead engagements alongside cross functional teams.

Working Conditions

The incumbent performs work in an open-spaced, partitioned office environment with an assigned cubicle in a high-rise building in downtown Oakland, CA within walking distance of public transportation. The office is climate-controlled with natural and artificial light. The incumbent will utilize the computer daily. DIR is currently in a hybrid telework schedule and Incumbent will be required to work on site two days a week. The incumbent will be a participant in meetings in both physical and virtual locations. E.g. conference rooms and offices, and WebEx and Zoom teleconferences.

Please include a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) that answers the following questions below. Your response should be typed in Arial 12 point font single spaced and no more than two pages in length. 1. Describe your experience in managing and administering cloud-based network infrastructure, including specific examples of how you have successfully designed, implemented, and maintained cloud-based network architectures; migrated on premises network infrastructure to the cloud, and troubleshooted / resolved complex network issues within cloud environments.
2. Describe your experience with implementing security configurations within a cloud environment to ensure compliance with relevant standards (e.g., NIST).
3. Describe your experience with implementing and managing identity and access management (IAM) solutions within a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. Please provide specific examples of how you have leveraged IAM features such as service accounts, roles, and permissions to secure resources and control access.
4. Describe how you effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including business stakeholders and executive leadership. Provide an example of a recent situation that required this type of stakeholder management.
