The Department of State Hospitals-Napa currently has multiple vacancies for a Plumber I. Plumber I's primary functions include but it not limited to : install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot mechanical controls for gas appliances and equipment; maintain and repairs sewage disposal equipment, grease traps, sewer piping, storm drains and garbage disposals; requisitions parts, supplies and equipment.

Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Multiple cut-off dates are set for application submission : February 12, 2025, March 5, 2025, March 26, 2025, April 16, 2025 and May 7, 2025 . Applications received after a cut-off date will be processed for the next cut-off date listed. Applications may be screened and only the most qualified candidates will be invited for an interview. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

    Founded in 1875, Napa State Hospital is the only state hospital in Northern California for persons struggling with severe mental illness. Classified as a low to moderate security facility, the hospital has a bed capacity to treat up to 1,362 patients on an attractive campus with treatment units located on 138 acres. Staff is dedicated and committed to delivering high quality, cost-effective, professional services and specialized programs in an environment that promotes continuous improvements in treatment for individuals with mental disabilities.
