Psychiatric Technician positions in GPT requires people with strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, energetic, physically fit to walk, bike and run the campus. You will also be required to assist with help calls, complete walk throughs on high acuity units, shakedowns and searches, and assist a multitude of departments across campus as needed for safety. The ideal candidate for this position should be proficient in use of Excel and able to prioritize time and resources efficiently.GPT members also work closely with patients, unit staff, and off-unit treatment staff and need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively, help resolve conflicts, assist in problem resolution, and be willing and able to address emergent issues immediately. A Candidate with experience working on a residential unit is preferable.This position requires a strong clinical base for de-escalating emotionally charged situations. Position hours are 8-5 with in a 4-cycle sequence.
