Administrative Solutions (AS) provides management and oversight for key administrative and technical services that enables CDHS to achieve their goals. It is responsible for a number of support functions to make our agency as efficient, effective and impactful as possible. Administrative Solutions comprises Human Resources; Facilities Management; Audit; Business Innovation; Technology and Security; Emergency Management; Legal; Performance Management; Communications; Project Management; and Leadership & Organizational Development.
Business Innovation, Technology and Security (BITS) is responsible for managing the Department’s information technology (IT) providers, including relations with the Office of Information Technology (OIT). The division serves as the main point of contact for departmental issues involving technology resources and needs, and coordinates activities with the program staff for IT support, operations, maintenance, modernization and implementation of new IT systems.
Description of Job
This position provides informatics services to CMHHIP. The position supports the multidisciplinary healthcare team and other stakeholders in decision-making in all roles and settings to achieve desired outcomes. Informatics support is accomplished through the use of informational structures, processes, and technology. The position develops and delivers initial and ongoing training on BEHR and other clinical systems for clinical end users. The position develops and distributes resources to support the efficient and effective use of BEHR and other clinical systems.
The position collaborates with the Health Information Technology (HIT) Team to test system workflows, report issues, and recommend changes. The position collaborates with Mental Health Hospital (MHH), HIT and OIT staff to continuously improve care quality, system performance, and process efficiency. This position collaborates with stakeholders to ensure business and clinical needs are met, customer/end user support is provided, and training is delivered. The position maintains expertise in nursing informatics. The position is also required to occasionally accept and perform other duties as assigned.

Conditions of Employment

- Must possess a valid, unrestricted U.S. Driver's License
- Former State employees who were disciplinarily terminated or resigned in lieu of termination must (1) disclose that information on the application (2) provide an explanation why the prior termination or resignation should not disqualify the applicant from the current position, (3) provide the employee number from the applicant’s prior State employment. Absent extraordinary circumstances, prior disciplinary termination or resignation in lieu of termination and failure to provide this information will disqualify the applicant from future State employment with CDHS.
