Computer Information Systems is part of CSU Pueblo, Malik and Seeme Hasan School of Business (HSB). The school offers a BS in Computer Information Systems, with minors in Data Analytics and Cybersecurity, and a BSBA in Management with an IT emphasis, and a joint BSCIS/MBA 3 2 program. The HSB enrolls over 750 students in its undergraduate programs with the largest major in Computer information Systems and approximately 150 students in our MBA program. The MBA program is designed to meet the educational needs of working professionals in southeastern Colorado. The HSB is housed in a modern building and includes 21 full-time tenure-track faculty members.

Teach undergraduate and graduate (MBA) courses in accordance with program needs. Prepare and present course materials; administer appropriate tests; evaluate student outcomes; select texts; prepare, administer and grade assignments; and assign final grades. Primary courses to be taught will be Data Analytics, Database, Systems Analysis and Design, and Management Information Systems. Other possible courses may include computer information systems and Cyber Security related courses.
Primary Duties
Teaches an estimated 4/4 load of undergraduate and graduate courses in accordance with program needs, with the option of course reduction at the approval of the HSB Dean. Prepares and presents course materials; administers appropriate tests; evaluates student outcomes; selects texts; prepares, administers and grades assignments; and assigns final grades. Participates in proposing curriculum changes and program modifications. Introduces and supports student success initiatives at the department, college and institutional levels.
Engages in appropriate scholarly activities to maintain currency in disciplinary fields. Maintains a research program that generates scholarly outputs including refereed journal publications, conference presentations, and other scholarly works.
Participates in service activities that include shared governance, professional service, and community service.
Salary Range
$95,700 to $116,000

Minimum Qualifications- Doctorate or ABD from an AACSB-accredited institution in Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline (ABD must complete the degree within a year).
- Ability to teach Data Analytics and two or more of the following areas: Database, Systems Analysis and Design, Management Information Systems, Cyber security.
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to motivate, educate and mentor students from a wide range of cultural and educational backgrounds similar to that of Colorado State University Pueblo.
- Evidence of scholarly activity and research leading to scholarly publication.
- Post-secondary teaching experience in the information systems field.
- Strong collegial and collaborative skills
- Technical work experience in the information technology or related field
- Experience in a position requiring collegial and collaborative team skills
- Experience with and commitment to working with diverse student populations and commitment to equity in education at all levels
- Experience and/or commitment to the use of technology as an instructional tool
