The Merchandise Manager is a key member of our team, responsible for managing inventory processes, optimizing product data, and ensuring seamless operations in both retail and e-commerce environments. This role focuses on maintaining the integrity of our store inventory, facilitating streamlined purchase order management, and spearheading systems development to support growth in new merchandise categories.

Key Responsibilities

Product Management :

Add and maintain product listings in the backend of our commerce system for both web and retail platforms.

Ensure accuracy and consistency in product descriptions, pricing, and categorization.

Inventory Management :

Oversee and manage the entire store inventory to ensure proper stock levels and availability.

Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Purchase Order Management :

Create, track, and manage purchase orders in the system for streamlined imports by retail associates.

Collaborate with vendors to secure timely delivery of merchandise and resolve order issues.

Systems Development :

Design and implement new processes and operations to support growth in new merchandise areas.

Identify opportunities for improvement in inventory and backend operations and lead system upgrades.

Data Analysis & Forecasting :

Analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends and forecast demand, ensuring optimal stock levels.

Inventory Management :

Work closely with retail associates to ensure they are equipped with the tools and training needed for product imports and stock management.

Partner with the marketing team to ensure new merchandise areas are successfully promoted.

Requirements

Experience with retail inventory management and backend commerce systems (experience in comics, TCG, or collectibles is a plus).

Strong technical skills, including proficiency in inventory management software and e-commerce platforms.

Proven ability to create and optimize operational processes.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and inform decision-making.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.

Passion for comics, games, and collectibles and a commitment to delivering excellent customer experiences.
