The�State of Connecticut,�CT Paid Leave,�is seeking a part-time Seasonal Outreach and Engagement Worker to join our outreach and engagement team.� POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: The Seasonal Worker will be responsible for assisting with the CT Paid Leave outreach program from June 1, 2025, through October 31, 2025 The position will require a valid U.S. driver’s license and willingness to use personal transportation with mileage reimbursement The position requires the ability to lift 25 pounds The position will require the ability to work Independently The position requires strong interpersonal skills to be able to explain complex concepts in an easily understandable manner� The seasonal worker will interact effectively with diverse individuals and communities Schedule: Variable week to week Location: The role requires the individual to be onsite at the event(s) location(s), with the flexibility to work remotely at other times The selected candidate�must be at least 18 years old The selected candidate must have reliable transportation and maintain the necessary insurance coverage THE ROLE: The selected candidate will represent the CT Paid Leave to the public at community events throughout the state, disseminating literature and information about the CT Paid Leave program to event attendees. Additionally, this person will assist the outreach and engagement team with special projects as directed. This position will require weekend and evening hours. ABOUT US: The Paid Family and Medical Leave Insurance Authority is a quasi-governmental agency formed by statute and signed into law by Governor Ned Lamont in 2019.� Its mission is to provide financial security to Connecticut’s workforce by offering benefits payments when either the employee or their family member takes a leave from work to care for themselves or a family member. OR Experienced workers in the specific functional area with another employer may be credited with such time on an equivalent basis to seasons worked and granted the same additional compensation up to the maximum hourly rate. OR Undergraduate or graduate students may be granted additional compensation of up to $.50 more per hour (up to the maximum hourly rate) for each full year of completed education on the basis of 30 semester hours equaling one (1) year. NOTE:�Determination of hourly rate is based on the above criteria. Additional compensation is based on only one criterion. It is not intended for individuals to receive additional compensation through application of the multiple criteria listed above.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Incumbents in this class assigned to recreational activities must be able to perform emergency first aid as needed and certain positions will require a current Standard First Aid Certificate. Incumbents in this class assigned as bus drivers or operators of a motor vehicle must possess and retain a current Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator License to drive a bus and/or a Motor Vehicle Operators License as necessary. Incumbents in this class may be required to travel.
