THE POSITION
The State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) is now hiring for a Behavioral Health Clinical Director to join their team! This position is essential to the clinical administration of the Ambulatory Services Division at CMHC, consisting of 12 teams and programs which serve approximately 3000 consumers each year. This Clinical Director will oversee five of the twelve teams / programs and will direct the work activities of approximately 43 employees and 15 trainees and attending psychiatrists.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE :
A Master's degree in a clinical discipline, public health administration, health care administration or hospital administration and six (6) years of professional experience in behavioral health care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SPECIAL EXPERIENCE :
Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity directing clinical operations or the delivery of behavioral health care services including the supervision of professional behavioral health care staff.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
Incumbents in this class must maintain the appropriate current license for clinical social work, marital and family therapist, professional counselor, registered nurse, psychologist or alcohol and drug counselor.
