Support Services Investigator
The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch seeks a Support Services Investigator to perform service of process for legal documents, including contempt applications, motions for modification, paternity petitions, and orders of notice. The investigator will prepare required forms, conduct investigations, locate respondents, schedule appointments, and maintain logbooks and reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform service of process for legal documents
- Prepare required forms for court files
- Conduct investigations and locate respondents
- Schedule office appointments and conduct home and/or employment visits
- Maintain daily and monthly logbooks and reports of activities
- Update the Connecticut child support computer system with locate information and service of process attempts
Requirements:
- Graduation from high school (or GED certification)
- Two years of experience in investigations, collections, law enforcement, security, clerical, social services, or a related field
- A valid Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator's License
- A motor vehicle available for daily use
