Summary Statement
Essential Functions
- Performs grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, athletic field maintenance, landscape bed maintenance, trash removal, vegetation removal, leaf removal and snow/ice removal.
- Performs custodial services in restrooms, offices and other buildings.
- Operates landscaping equipment and use of hand and power tools.
- Sets-up monitor and becoming clean-up support for park programs and special events.
- Maintains good public relations with park visitors and staff.
- Maintains gardens and landscaped areas of the park which includes plant installation and removal, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching, pruning, and applying pesticides.
- Understand and follow best management practices for handling, mixing, and applying pesticides.
- Provides excellent customer service and park information to visitors.
- Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability and good communication skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
- Other duties as assigned.
