Summary Statement
This candidate reports to the Hospital Director and is responsible for Quality Assurance and Risk Management including medical records and investigations throughout the Hospital. Administers, directs and coordinates the business and service support functions necessary for the provision of appropriate care and residential, medical and / or psychiatric treatment of patients. Guides the development of operating policies. A significant aspect of this work is the implementation of proper quality control procedures to ensure compliance Federal and State regulatory licensure, certification and accreditation standard from Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Essential Functions

- Oversees the daily operation and activities of administrative services, food services and other support services, institutional security and grounds and physical plant maintenance.
- Supervises administrative functions such as legal services, volunteer services, communications and records management.
- Develops recommended policies and procedures; implements and monitors the effectiveness of policies, procedures and programs; recommends and implements changes as required.
- Prepares operating and capital budget, monitors contracts and ensures operation within budgetary constraints.
- Prepares various records and reports describing statistical, fiscal and personnel data of the facility.
- Attends meetings, conferences and seminars and participates in hospital committees involved in quality assurance, infection control, etc.
- May supervise the personnel-management functions for the facility.
