Summary Statement
Essential Functions
- Provide protective services to park patrons and staff.
- Safely navigate sand, dirt trails and asphalt while carrying equipment for an extended amount of time.
- Perform vehicle and foot patrols of assigned area.
- Monitor recreational activities in the park.
- Enforce Park rules and regulations.
- Implement appropriate action in response to complaints, violations or other inappropriate activities including assisting other law enforcement agencies.
- Provide excellent customer service and park information to visitors.
- Must be able to demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and good communication skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude.
Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving)
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in narrative report writing.

Prior to assignment, appointees must successfully complete multiple day trainings which will require physical components. This course is administered by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control and will be held in May, 2025. Coursework includes but is not limited to report writing, defensive tactics, ethics, rules and regulations, radio procedures, ASP baton, Oleoresin Capsicum spray (Training and Exposure), and first aid/CPR.
This is a Casual/Seasonal position which is a non-pension eligible position without healthcare and/or other benefits.
