Summary Statement
This position will serve as the Deputy Chief of Special Projects under the Executive Programs and Grant Administration Unit, within the Office of the Division Director. Duties will include managing several complex federal grants (from multiple federal agencies) and related projects which support a variety of initiatives to address opioid use disorder and the overdose crisis. The position will oversee staff who directly operate various initiatives and coordinate efforts across multiple teams and operating units. Project areas currently include overdose prevention, harm reduction, and strategic awareness initiatives.
Essential Functions

- Plans, coordinates, supervises and evaluates specific health programs and staff operations.
- Prepares grant applications and supervises allocations and expenditures of operating budgets. Negotiates and prepares consultant contracts and agreements.
- Develops program policies, standards and procedures in addition to long and short range program plans.
- Recruits, trains, supervises and evaluates staff.
- Prepares statistical, narrative, analytical and financial reports.
- Coordinates programs with other public health divisions and serves on varies advisory groups, providing technical support to public and private groups.
- Develops and conducts special investigations and studies.
