Summary Statement
This position is responsible for supervising, training, and reviewing the work of HR Analysts in the Pension Calculation section of the Office of Pensions. The HR Analyst employees are responsible for calculating pensions and ensuring quality control over System data while maintaining compliance with pension, state and federal rules and regulations. This position requires strong leadership skills, analytical abilities and detailed knowledge of laws, policies and procedures regarding pension calculation.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for State Human Resource Supervisor Applicants must have education, training and / or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas :
1. Must possess at least one of the following :
Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher.
Four years of professional human resource experience.
Three years of professional human resource experience AND a Statewide Human Resource Certification or professional human resource certification.
In addition to the above requirement, applicants must meet all of the job requirements below :
2.Three years’ experience in performing human resource analysis and consultation in support of a human resource function.
3.Three years’ experience in providing guidance, direction and recommendations to employees, management or others on inquiries and / or challenges.
4.Three years’ experience in ensuring compliance with human resource laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
5. One year of experience in project management such as planning, developing, implementing, managing or evaluating projects to ensure objectives are met. 6. Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work, academic training, training provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees.
