About the Role
As a highly respected Senior Physician, you will collaborate with various sections within the state facilities to provide exceptional patient care. This senior-level position requires independent judgment, initiative, and meticulous attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients in the Emergency Room, providing comprehensive care ranging from routine to critical situations, including cardiac arrest and severe head trauma.
- Admit patients to the medical ward after thorough evaluations, ensuring optimal treatment and outcomes.
- Serve as a consultant in complex cases across other units, providing expert guidance and support.
- Lead the Code Blue Team in responding to critically ill patients hospital-wide, utilizing advanced skills and knowledge.
- Provide training and mentorship to nursing and ancillary staff on proper use of medical equipment, treatment procedures, and general health care practices.
- Promote interdisciplinary collaboration as an active member of various hospital medical committees.
- Conduct regular screenings for potential health problems among patients and employees.
- Perform physical examinations on new employees, ensuring their fitness for duty.
- Provide ongoing treatment and care to patients in the medical ward until discharge criteria are met.
- Prepare transfer summaries for patients discharged from the medical unit, documenting essential information.
- Respond promptly to medical and psychiatric issues throughout the facility, exercising sound judgment and expertise.
- Initiate and complete all restraint and seclusion requirements according to established protocols.
- Issue orders for emergency treatment and document patient outcomes.
- Perform additional duties assigned by your supervisor, contributing to the overall success of the team.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate exceptional diagnostic competence through appropriate physical and psychiatric examinations based on current ICD 9/DSM IV criteria.
- Select treatments that align with current National Standards of Medical and Psychiatric care.
