Senior Physician - Primary Care
This is a professional position in a large mental health facility. The incumbent is expected to maintain a positive and professional attitude and manner at all times.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Evaluates abnormal physical conditions and illness of hospital patients and prescribes medication as necessary.
- Conducts daily rounds in assigned ward.
- Provides coverage in the NEFSH Medical Triage Area (MTA) per rotation schedule.
- Performs physical examinations and establishes diagnoses of physical disorders and instates treatment of patients.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensure as a physician pursuant to Chapter 458, Florida Statutes, and two years of post-licensure professional experience in the practice of medicine.
- Or licensure as an osteopathic physician pursuant to Chapter 459, Florida Statutes, and two years of post-licensure professional experience in the practice of osteopathic medicine.
