Assists with transportation needs in Child Protective Investigation, including picking up medical records, transporting of children to placements, scheduling and transporting of children to CPT, interviews and exams and other medical appointments.
This is work conducting detailed research and analysis of confidential data, including abuse reports and background screening information relating to persons involved in or associated with allegations of child abuse or neglect or providing care for such children. In addition, the work involved gathering, receiving, abstracting and summarizing information and data pertaining to child abuse and neglect investigation and services activities.
Receives Florida Safe Families Network intakes through assignment and performs the preliminary workup for investigations when intakes are received. Research records and documents to include, but not limited to vital statistics, criminal history checks, address checks, CCIS checks, prior reports, person merge, etc. Summarizes all records located and inputs information in Florida Safe Families Network case/investigation record. Ends own assignment and reassigns case to primary investigator.
Services as an assistant to the PA and CPI Supervisor. This involves complex and varied assignments including child transportation and supervision, data collection, evaluation of information, report development, tracking of assignments, and other related duties such as typing, copying, filing, and with minimal instruction.
Provides supervision for children in the office
Accepts FSFN intakes and pulls reports and prior reports, complies and sets up pre-investigation files, assigns intakes per direction of CPI Supervisor.
Compiles and copies packets for shelter and case staffing.
Answers, routes telephone calls and records messages for CPI and unit Supervisors.
Distributes incoming and outgoing mail for the service center as well as Child Protective Investigations.
Serves as a backup to staff, including Staff Administrative Assistant, and Records Technician. Backup duties include, but are not limited to switchboard coverage, completion of travel reimbursements, maintaining file room, fingerprinting activities and diligent search.
Attend meetings and trainings.
