Position Summary
This is a professional Selected Exempt Services (SES) position that serves as the House Manager for one or more residential homes, or a specific case load as needed. This position is to provide oversight of responsibilities of the assigned residential home(s). This position may act as Human Service Senior Supervisor (HSSS) Ensures a healthy and safe environment for each resident. This incumbent works to ensure the daily and on-going operation of the facility in residents receiving necessary services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is a mission critical/essential position thus tasked to respond in emergency situations.
The Work You Will Do
This position spends the majority of their time communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees, and planning and directing employees’ work, and who have the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action, including all employees serving as supervisors, administrators, and directors.
Provides supervision of all direct care services (including contract). Provides responses to their respective Unit Director or other authority if problems exist that require follow-up or a response.
Assists and provides needed information to investigators with alleged abuse, neglect, and/or exploitation residents as needed. Ensures that all applicable reports are completed in a timely manner with applicable follow-up.
Document and report unusual and/or significant events in a timely manner to the appropriate supervisors or designees. Appropriate documentation, treatment where applicable, and resident follow-up are a part of this responsibility.
Assists in formulation of the plan of correction which aims to correct deficiencies that occurred during the various inspections and surveys.
The House Manager monitors assigned staff to ensure assigned staff complete required training and maintain certifications as required.
Participates in the various committees and workgroups as assigned to coordinate activities of the department's external to this facility as they are related to the activities of the facilities’ clients.
The House Manager makes regular quality assurance rounds on their assigned home and areas designated by the Residential Unit. This position monitors meals and observes resident service delivery areas to ensure compliance with programmatic standards.
Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
• Must have at least three (3) years’ experience supervising staff.
• Must have at least two (2) years’ experience working with persons with disabilities.
• This position completes all required training.

As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Background Screening Requirement
It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.
