This is NOT a telework position. The selected candidate must work in the office.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.

Salary to be determined, based on experience, $47,500 minimum annual.

Location is open statewide. The position will be located in Florida based on the selected candidate.

Regular business hours of operation are 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday.

Evening or weekend hours may be required as work volume dictates.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : 2 years (24 months) of documented data reporting experience.

  • 2 years (24 months) of documented experience in creating and presenting reports.
  • 2 years (24 months) of Excel experience utilizing functions, macros, and pivot charts.
  • 2 years (24 months) of documented SQL experience.
  • 2 years (24 months) of documented experience working with the FLORIDA system.
  • 4 years (48 months) of experience Economic Self-sufficiency programs (Florida SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid eligibility policy).
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field OR Professional or non-professional experience as described below can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the preferred college degree (Minimum 4 years).

  • POSITION DESCRIPTION

    This is an independent and complex professional consultative position in the Economic Self-Sufficiency (ESS) Program Data Analytics and Reporting unit. This position provides operational, data management and coordinative assistance in ESS Program areas. This position conducts studies and evaluations of organizational performance data and provides assistance that may help the organization to operate more efficiently and effectively. This position is located in Florida and reports directly to the Data Analyst Supervisor for the ESS Program office.

    The incumbent is a member of the DCF DSNAP Disaster Response team and, in that capacity, may be required on short notice to perform duties and travel in support of disaster relief. During such events, incumbent may be required to work more than 8 hours a day.

    Job Description and Responsibilities

    The incumbent will ensure the job duties and responsibilities are completed in a timely manner and with a high accuracy rate. It is important for the applicant to display a professional attitude and strong work ethic.

    The incumbent's primary duties include analysis of broad range of data from public assistance programs including Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and Medicaid while utilizing Sequel (SQL) and Business Intelligence (BI) software. Other duties include automation of Extract Transform Load (ETL) and maintenance of data from DCF data warehouse and external data sources. This position is responsible for working with DCF management team and stakeholders to provide accurate data products while ensuring compliance with Department's policy and adhering to time sensitive deadlines. The incumbent's typical workday will include interpreting data requests, researching, developing queries as well as testing and validation of data. This is a highly technical position and requires ability to adapt and solve complex problems.

    Duties Include :

  • Query data from various sources and produce reports and visualizations to provide statistical analysis of performance metrics related to the ESS programs.
  • Identify trends and patterns of public assistance data to help families become self-sufficient.
  • Perform data analysis on ESS program data to identify common problems and issues that require corrective actions.
  • Develop and validate reports and present data to Executive management team.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of reports to produce public record requests.
  • Learn and utilize MS SQL Server, Excel, Power BI. and Qlik to perform complex data analysis.
  • Provide technical assistance to field staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
