Open Competitive:  this position is based on 32 hours per week.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Work up clients to see provider: height, weight, blood pressure, temperature, documentation of chief complaint/reason for visit, completion of medical history.

Assist APRN with follow-up of abnormal labs, referrals, and appointment reminders as needed.

Instructs clients on how to obtain urine specimens.  Perform CLIA waived tests on site (Pregnancy tests, urine dipsticks)

Prepares and ships lab specimens.

Time sheet and EAR entry within the required time frame.

Completion of all mandatory or assigned trainings within the required time frame.

When not working with APRN, may assist nurses with patient work-up.

May assist with Spanish translation as necessary.

Other duties as assigned may include scanning of records in preparation for record destruction, clean up of clinic area at end of day.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of basic medical terminology; basic computer software, testing equipment, skill in taking blood pressure readings, interview patients and obtain a complete medical history.  Ability to follow instructions, keep accurate records and communicate effectively.

 

Qualifications:

Must hold an active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license.
