This is a part-time OPS SENIOR CLERK position working approximately 20 hours per week. Key responsibilities include accepting and processing payments, maintaining cash drawers and security of monies received, and entering billing information daily.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept and process payments from clients
- Maintain cash drawers and secure monies received
- Enter billing information into HMS system
- Work closely with the billing department under supervision of Health Services Manager
- Acknowledge clients checking in for services and provide receipts as required
- Verify information on intake forms and enter updated demographic and financial information into HMS
- Advise clients of costs and address questions as necessary
- Collect payments from clients and maintain records of all payments received
Additional Duties:
- Backup duties for Medical Records department
- Assist PEPW clients with interviewing for temporary PEPW services in coordination with Department of Children and Family Services
- Schedule appointments for Breast and Cervical/TB/Epilepsy/Insulin Clients
- Mails out Insulin and Epilepsy program applications and determine program eligibility
- Complete mandatory DOH trainings in TRAIN by end of December
- Complete at least 5 professional development trainings relating to clerical duties by December 31, 2023
