Description 

This position falls under the Bureau of Education Data Center, Division of Technology and Innovation. The bureau has a diverse set of technology platforms requiring system and application support. An advanced level of skill is required for this position in one or more of the technologies and/or platforms. 
 
Position Responsibilities:
•    Employee is expected to demonstrate, model, and reinforce the agency's fundamental values of quality, fairness, cooperation, respect, commitment, excellence, honesty, and teamwork. 
•    Employee is expected to demonstrate knowledge, skills, and ability to prepare, provide, and disseminate quality, fairness, cooperation, respect, commitment, excellence, honesty, and teamwork. 
•    Planning, scheduling, and implementation of work assignments pertaining to Access Management. 
•    Collects, evaluates, and analyzes data to develop alternative recommendations, solve problems, document workflow and other activities related to the improvement of Access Management related activities implementation and operation.
•    Manage and maintain services and functions within the multiple admin centers of Microsoft 365 and Azure AD. 
•    Ensures there is a detailed, documented history for all work completed within the Department of Education's ticketing system. 
•    Complete public records requests correctly and efficiently using eDiscovery in Microsoft's Compliance Admin Center.
•    Reviews assigned team project deliverables and supporting work products for completeness and quality assurance prior to further use. 
•    Provide excellent customer service in all areas involving working with the customer. 
•    Follow documented processes and procedures and create procedural documentation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•    Knowledgeable in Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365 admin center services and functions as well as on-premises Active Directory Users and Computers and Group Policy Object management. 
•    Has the knowledge to create and modify shared network drives and properly assign security groups for least privilege access. 
•    Has knowledge of Windows PowerShell and Active Directory Module for Windows PowerShell. 
•    Provide excellent customer service in all areas involving working with the customer. 
•    Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products in order to complete monthly and quarterly reconciliation reports for auditing purposes. 
•    Must have ability to think logically and to analyze and solve problems. 
•    Needs to have the ability to interpret technical information relating to Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365. 
•    Can communicate effectively, professionally, and appropriately in a timely manner. 
•    Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. 

 

Minimum Qualifications

An associated degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college or university;

or two years of IT systems support experience. 

Experience working in Active Directory Users and computers, Microsoft Entra, and/or Microsoft 365.

Background Screening Requirements
It is the policy of the Florida Department of Education that applicants for employment undergo level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.   
All applicants for employment or to volunteer who are selected for an interview will be provided with the Consent to Background Screening form for level 2 screening, the Affidavit of Good Moral Character, and the Notice of Rights. The leading candidate for employment or to volunteer will be required to execute the Consent form and Affidavit, report to a designated location, and submit fingerprints for level 2 screening. 
 
No applicant for a designated position will be employed or permitted to volunteer until the level 2 screening results are received, reviewed, and approved by the Department. 
 
Level 2 background screening shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for statewide criminal and juvenile records checked through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and federal criminal records checked through the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and may include local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies.
