PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with providers; assessing, planning, and implementing care.
• Escort patient to and from room.
• Record patient data.
• Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular injections, and IV therapy.
• Obtain blood specimens.
• Clean and sterilize exam and procedure rooms/equipment.
• Request/Evaluate lab tests.
• Schedule patient tests, procedures, hospital admission, and appointment follow-ups.
• Assist with educating patients.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.
• Follow all departmental, organizational, and government policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting desired but not required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Valid license to practice in the state of employment and current CPR certification required. IV Certification is required.
