Job Responsibilities
- Manages routine administrative functions for the agency/office, such as travel expenses, car rentals, leases, vendors, contracts, telecommunications, building security, purchasing, billing/credit, inventory, property control, etc.
- Provides administrative support to assigned area
- Provides program, administrative, and/or technical assistance and interpretation
- Researches and resolves detailed program or client issues/questions and prepares documents
- Support customer service/front desk; answer and direct incoming phone calls.
- Create, review, correct and approve NEOGOV requisitions.
- Schedule and provide interview documents for interviews.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to determine when new employees with be reporting to the laboratory and ensure management is aware.
- Ensure new hires completely new hire paperwork, provide tours and help new hires get acclimated to working at the laboratory.
- Track and update all organization and vacancy charts.
- Work collectively with the budget team to ensure position information is updated.
- Work collectively with the IT Team to ensure records of all laboratory equipment.
- Create SOPs for laboratory travel and onboarding and offboarding employees.
- Track and maintain employee certifications, transcripts, and degrees.
- Coordinate team building activities for employees in/and cross unit.
- Will be a key member in the phone system project (front desk and throughout the lab), partnering with Lab Deputy Director, Operations Director and IT.
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND Four years of related experience OR Six years of related experience.
- Must have ability to lead or supervise a team.
