Under general supervision, provides instruction to students in the Automotive Collision Repair Technology Program. The program is designed to prepare participants for entry-level Automotive Collision Repair positions in the automotive industry. The instructor will work primarily in classroom and indoor shop areas requiring close attention to detailed procedures in the preparation and basic maintenance and operation of the automotive equipment, inventory and requisition of supplies. The instructor must demonstrate the use of appropriate teaching techniques; use of appropriate testing and grading procedures including proper maintenance of grade books, and any other record-keeping required; effective use of oral and written communication skills; knowledge of current in-field procedures; and follow approved course syllabus. The instructor will evaluate student progress in attaining goals and objectives within the program, complete all reports and records in a timely manner and maintain accurate inventory of all assigned properties.

Applicants must be motivated, organized, and able to work collegially in a professional environment. The selected candidate must be able to perform physical activities, such as but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, pushing, pulling, and walking. The selected candidate must also withstand a variety of indoor and outdoor environmental conditions with possible exposure to dirt, dust, grease, machinery with moving parts, chemicals, and fumes is possible in a lab environment. You must be able to work with minimum supervision, effectively use oral and written communication skills, and demonstrate knowledge of current in-field procedures.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Auto Collision Repair or related field
  • Current ASE Certification
  • Related work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing and teaching lessons individually and in classroom environments.
  • Knowledge of online instruction and gradebooks
  • More than five years related work experience
