The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Certified Nursing Assistant on the Skilled Unit at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.Salary Range : $36,608.00 - $44,096.00 (Based on Experience)Shifts : 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM - 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM - 11 : 00 PM - 7 : 30 AMJob Description : Performs assigned direct care activities and basic nursing procedures in a Skilled Nursing Facility.Job Responsibilities :
- Assists nursing staff in assessing the client's physical and mental condition according to policies and procedures.
- Assists with patient's feeding (this may include tube feeding), personal hygiene and grooming functions as necessary.
- Turns and re-positions bedridden clients, with assistance, to prevent and / or promote the healing of pressure sores.
- Completes required documentation in patient and unit records.
- Follows hospital / departmental procedures regarding infection control.
- Performs basic nursing procedures, such as taking vital signs, weight, specimens according to the treatment plan.
- Provides training and / or direction to patients in activities of daily living in order to promote increased independence.
- Utilizes correct body mechanics in performing patient care activities to prevent injury.
- Maintains current certification with the State Aide Registry (NAR). (Performed by all incumbents)
