Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field from an accredited college or university AND One year of communications or related experience OR Four years of communications or related experience OR One year of experience required at the lower level Communications Spec 1 (GSP040) or position equivalent.

Job Description/Responsibilities
- Manages community volunteers (Recruit, train and supervise)
- Serves as a liaison with individuals and organizations in the community
- Solicits, Coordinates, and manages the receipt of donated funds and items for individuals
- Provides oversight and supervision for Clothing Store both as a work therapy project and as a source of clothing for Individuals.
- Manage and organize fund-raising activities to sustain all the projects of the organization
- Serves as editor of Central State Hospital newsletter
- Coordinates Special Projects as assigned by the RHA
- Makes recommendations for involvement in community projects to create favorable community relations.
- Develop and maintain resources/agreements with agencies that can provide cultural and diverse activities for the individuals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication, rehabilitation, social worker or a related field from a accredited college or university.
- Two or more years experience in vocational rehabilitation, communication, human services, or related field.

- Additional Information - Selected applicant must meet the following standards:
- Must pass a pre-employment background check (which includes criminal records check, driver's history, and verification of work history) and a post-hire federal background investigation.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and will be placed in the pool for the State Random Drug Testing Program.
