The Georgia Department of Labor is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill the DOL Services Specialist position in the Claims Administration Unit at the GDOL Central Office in downtown Atlanta, GA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under limited supervision, the Specialist performs a variety of professional functions related to the processing of claims
- Runs interstate claims
- Processes Lack of Work reports
- Completes Interstate Billing (IB6)
- Reviews and responds to employers’ charge protest
- Assigns wages for UCX (Military) and UCFE (Federal) claims
- Analyzes TRADE (RTAA, ATAA, TRA) claims and release payments
- Resolves issues on Partial Claims
- Research claim statuses and exceptions
- Directs customers to appropriate departments and administrations
- Assists with answering phone calls in a high-volume work environment
- Provides data entry and clerical support as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University or College
- Two years experience processing unemployment insurance claims
- One year DOL Services Specialist Assistant or Admin. Support 3 experience
