This job is a fulltime, benefited, FLSA Non-Exempt position in the Human Resources Division that reports to the Coordinator – Training and Communications.
Salary: Targeted salary is commensurate with education and experience not to exceed the budgeted amount of $46,800 per year.
Schedule: 40-hours per week, on campus, at the Lawrenceville campus; Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays; May occasionally work at the Alpharetta-North Fulton Campus.
Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 10034)
Associate’s degree in a related field *and* Three (3) years of related work experience • Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis
Preferred Qualifications:
In addition to the minimum qualifications,
- Previous experience in Higher Education or Corporate training/event planning
- Previous experience in group presentation
- Previous experience in training implementation, and training completion tracking on multiple platforms
- Familiarity with Higher Education best practices and standard

Job Description Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Coordinator for Training and Communications, the Specialist provides administrative and technical support. This role will assist in planning, facilitating, and coordinating: training programs, new employee orientation, and facilitating required trainings. Performs other duties as assigned in the fulfillment of the needs, philosophy, and purpose of Human Resources and Gwinnett Technical College.
