Legal Authorization to Work Requirement:
The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
Experience: TWO (2) YEARS of work experience as an apprentice or helper under a journey-level automotive mechanic; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Note: experience in repair of personal vehicles or hobby repair is NOT creditable.
SELECT CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Commercial Driver License (CDL): This position requires the possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B at the time of application.
Note: a valid out-of-state CDL may also be accepted. If you are selected for this position, you must transfer your out-of-state CDL to Hawaii-issued CDL prior to your employment start date.
