LEVEL III positions assist microbiologists, medical technologists or other professional personnel in some phases of technical laboratory work; prepares standard to difficult reagents, solutions and culture media used in laboratory tests; and performs other related duties as assigned.Applicants will be placed on the eligible list for ALL levels for which they are qualified.

Experience: Laboratory Assistant LEVEL II applicants must possess ONE (1) YEAR and LEVEL III requires TWO (2) YEARS of progressively responsible laboratory work experience which has provided the applicant with a practical knowledge of laboratory functions, apparatus and equipment, methods and procedures, and tests.
For level III, one (1) year of experience must have been comparable to the Laboratory Assistant II in State service.
