Duties Summary
The Securities Compliance Branch of the Business Registration Division is seeking a Securities Multi-Media Education Specialist I.
Duties include: Perform professional and administrative functions that support the division's investor education program; use of multi-media and new technology to help organize, distribute and advance the investor education content; research and identify methods for the use of multi-media outlets.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education: Graduation from an accredit college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Knowledge: Media production; communication; dissemination of techniques and methods; alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral and visual media.
Skills/Abilities: Principles, methods and techniques pertaining to multi-media skills in developing, programming, executing and maintaining web and software applications; develop educational materials; establish and maintain effective working relationships and personal contacts with personnel of various public and private agencies; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; plan and execute logistics for sponsored community events.
Legal Authorization to Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

This position is exempt from the civil service and considered temporary in nature. Therefore, if you are appointed to the position, your employment will be considered to be at "at will," which means that you may be discharged from your employment at the prerogative of the department head or designee at any time.
