The Southwest Idaho Treatment Center (SWITC) inNampais seeking a skilled and dedicatedBuilding Facility Foreman.This position will join our team that oversees the maintenance, repair, and aesthetic presentation of our facilities and outdoor spaces.

SWITC is a 24-hour facility and our mission is to support individuals in crisis to become stable, develop skills, and to successfully transition to the community. Example Of Duties

• Maintains outdoor areas such as landscape, walkways, patios, and parking lots, ensuring they are clean and well-kept. – flexing schedule may be needed due to extreme weather/temperatures.
• Performs inspection of buildings and land to determine maintenance and preventative needs.
• Conducts repairs that could include plumbing, electrical, HVAC, sprinkler systems, and structural work.
• Coordinates with external contractors for major repairs and renovations.
• Writes maintenance reports.
• Performs routine maintenance of vehicles.
• Sets up preventive maintenance schedules.
• Be a part of the on-call rotation for nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned which could include but not limited to housekeeping.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position.

• Good knowledge of building codes.Typically gained by completing a seminar or formal training in building code content and interpretation; OR by at least six months of experience in a position where code interpretation was an integral portion of your role.
• Some knowledge of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) related work. Typically gained by leastsix months of paid work experience maintaining and/or repairing HVAC systems in a commercial environment.
• Some knowledge of supervisory practices.Typically gained bya class or seminar (more than one day), specifically covering supervisory practices OR leadwork experience that required work direction, monitoring work, and making work assignments (such experience on a fill-in basis is not qualifying unless for a period of approximately three months or more), OR one year of leadwork experience with input into hiring and input into preparing performance evaluations and input into discipline OR courses or seminars that included all four elements of management (planning, organizing, leadership and controlling), OR one year of experience as a full-time supervisor with responsibility for hiring (or input into hiring), training, assigning work, disciplining, and performance evaluations.
• Experience performing skilled repair and maintenance in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, building maintenance, and grounds related work as well as experienceusing specialized tools and equipment associated with trades indicated.Typically gained by at least six months of experience performing skilled repair and maintenance in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, building maintenance, and grounds related work.
• Considerable knowledge of building maintenance including experience maintaining maintenance records and preparing related reports.Typically gained by at least one year of experience and training in commercial building maintenance, equipment technologies, and operating techniques.
• Experience estimating material needs and costs for jobs andreading blueprints and specifications.Typically gained byless than three months work experience reading blueprints and estimating material needs and costs, OR at least six months of work experience reading blueprints and estimating material needs and costs, OR at least one year of experience performing material take-off for planning and estimating materials and costs of construction, electrical work, or plumbing, OR at least one year of supervisory experience recommending bids for commercial construction activities.
