Idaho Transportation Department is hiring a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Analyst III for our Boise location . This position will plan, design, conduct, and oversee Geographic Information System (GIS) development and analysis projects and serve as the technical lead and / or subject matter expert in GIS technology and applications.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Leads the planning, management, and analysis for projects and ensures objectives are met upon completion
- Coordinates with external partners to define data management needs, including metadata, define system requirements, and develop workflows to meet needs
- Manages the technical design and development aspects of the organization's GIS to ensure the maintenance of programs that satisfy all users
- Drives the development and maintenance of quality control programs for GIS
- Mentors junior analysts and trains users on GIS applications
- Leads and oversees projects and teams
