Typical Duties
- Perform professional LPN duties in a medical clinic or community setting, to include non-traditional sites such as schools and rural/outreach clinics;
- Room patients and conduct patient assessment, triage client concerns;
- Perform pregnancy testing and provide options counseling;
- Administer medications and contraceptives (Depo inserts, Plan B, visit to change type of contraceptive, facilitate with provider, assessment);
- Support and administer immunizations according to the ACIP recommendations and conduct immunization record reviews;
- Conduct venipuncture blood draws, blood pressure check, height, weight, hemoglobin, temperature, and related work;
- Package, process and ship laboratory specimens;
- Conduct patient call-backs, coordinate care with internal/external providers and staff;
- Support off-site immunization clinics;
- Conduct STI screenings in congregated living centers;
- Process pharmaceutical refills;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the state of Idaho or state licensure as a Practical Nurse pursuant to the Nurse Licensure Compact, Idaho Code 54-1418, in one of the following compact states: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Wisconsin.
